Q1. What measures does TCB have in place in light of COVID-19?
Here at TCB we are taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of both our customers and TCB Team Members. This is without a doubt our top priority.
To start, our brew team follows strict food handling protocols set out by CFIA and MAFRD throughout production and packaging, which includes using nitrile gloves to eliminate skin contact, and packaged product is sprayed down with sanitizer rinse before being packaged into cases and/or Paktechs (Aluminum Can Fasteners/Rings).
Further, following the direction of the Public Health officials, we continue to introduce safety measures to help contain the spread of COVID-19.
Within the facility:
To further support a safe environment and experience for our guests, our Taproom will temporarily function with a reduced capacity. *In true TCB fashion we will not offer reservations - all tables are first come first served basis. We can accommodate groups of up to 10 people.
All tables (taproom and patio) have been adequately social distanced
Dedicated hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the facility for our guests and team members to use
Additional hand washing guidelines have been issued to each team member and instructions displayed at every sink
Increased cleaning across entire facility in both public and team facing areas, including retail store, kitchen, door handles, fridge handles, etc.
Double washing of all glassware
We are encouraging the use of contactless payments
Seasonings and condiments will come single-serve and pre-packaged
Our Self Serve station has been temporarily removed. A team member will bring all necessary cutlery and dinnerware to your table
Ample signage throughout facility to guide direction of traffic
With regards to Contact Free Home Delivery:
We will minimize unnecessary handling of product and sanitize outer packaging at the point of delivery.
We provide TCB Team Members with hand sanitizer and protective gloves.
Product will be contained in new and unused paper bags or corrugated boxes (or like packaging to ensure a clean environment is maintained and wipe down surfaces upon delivery.
We will not enter our customers residence, and for multi-tenant dwellings, such as apartments and condos, and we will require customers to meet the driver at the main entrance.
Customers will display valid, government-issued photo ID for visual age verification without contact.
Customers orders will be placed in a manner that does not require physical contact and they will be responsible for carrying the order into their residence.
TCB Team Members are empowered to use discretion to refuse delivery if the Terms and Conditions are not met and/or uncomfortable completing the delivery at the specified address.
Q2. How are orders placed, and payments processed?
Orders can be placed through our online store (shop.tcb.beer), including an online payment at checkout. We are unable to accept payment at the door due to LGCA regulations.
Q3. What times and days is TCB offering home delivery and is there an order cut off time?
We are offering same day delivery in Winnipeg on Wednesday-Sunday.
Wednesday-Saturday: Orders must be placed before 2pm. Delivery window is 4-8pm.
Sunday: Orders must be placed before 12pm (noon). Delivery window is 12-4pm.
Q4. What is the delivery radius?
Initially, we are beginning with a limited delivery radius to ensure we are able to handle all orders received. As of March 26th, we will be offering delivery to the city of Winnipeg. As of April 25th, we have announced a Rural Delivery Program with deliveries/curbside pickups on selected dates.
Q5. Does TCB charge a delivery fee and/or is there a minimum order?
For Winnipeg orders, there is a $5 flat delivery fee and a minimum order of $20 before tax. This fee will be waived for orders above $40 before tax.
For Rural orders, there is a $5 flat delivery fee and a minimum order of $30 before tax. This fee will be waived for orders above $50 before tax.
Q6. What products will TCB offer?
We will be offering a selection of cans, bottles and kegs to start and are looking to add TCB merchandise in the near future!
Q7. What are the requirements for delivering beer, can TCB leave it on the doorstep if I am not there?
We are unable to leave beer unattended. As per LGCA guidelines we need to check identification to ensure an adult is receiving the beer. We also are not able to deliver to intoxicated persons. Our drivers are certified with Smart Serve, as required by regulations.
Q8. Do the TCB Team Members have proper certification to deliver?
Yes, our Team Members must be 18 years of age, smart serve certified, and the person driving must have a valid drivers license.
Q10. Can I purchase a keg from you?
We typically have 19.5L and 50L kegs available for rental from our retail store. Please email us at email@example.com for information regarding keg rentals.
Q9. I purchased a TCB pre-filled growler and keg, how do I get my deposits back?
All used TCB growlers, kegs, and keg tools are to be dropped at Trans Canada Brewing Company (1-1290 Kenaston Ave, Winnipeg, MB) using our Curbside Service "Used Return Station” - during store hours (Wednesday - Saturday: 4pm-11pm, and Sunday: 12pm-7pm). Our team will be able to exchange your item or return your deposit at this time. Our team will not being picking up used growlers/kegs/keg tools through our home delivery program at this time.
